New Times with Bach
3 original compostions
Variations on Bach:
BWV 974 Adagio
All sounds in this composition are from a prepared piano, recorded and processed using various techniques. The raw sound materials include the scratches and taps on strings, along with an excerpt from Bach's BWV 974, all captured by a Zoom H4nPro Recorder. The processing techniques employed include cutting frequencies, adding reverb and delay effects, implementing diverse forms of automation, and more.
I had a truly enjoyable time working on this project. Put on your headphones and listen!
Looking back at my childhood, practicing Bach was tough, and for a long time, I kind of "hated" his pieces! It wasn't until I started composing that Bach became one of my favorite composers.
Here's a three-voice fugue created with synth sounds, and I've also included a piano version. Let me know which one you like better :)
If you examine the score, you'll notice that the Invention, following Bach's approach, incorporates an exposition, episode, a middle set of entries, final entries, and key modulations.
Same to the fugue, enjoy the two different versions!
